He listens to her reasons patiently, indulgently, then speaks. "Exile him to continue his work with his compatriots? Lock him up so we can patiently wait for his successor to take over in his absence and then do the same to that one, repeating the same cycle until...?"

He tilts his head forward, letting the brim of his hat obscure his eyes. "Yor Forger made her choices long ago and can leave whenever she wishes. If she is trapped, it's by some other force than our organization."

If she's trapped... then I want to try and find out what it is that's keeping her bound, and see what it is she really wants to do. And maybe it's this, but I won't know until I ask.
